Abstract
This thesis was written as an introduction to 2nd wave feminist thought for Endow members as well as anyone who does not consider herself or himself to be a feminist. It contains a proposal for a follow-up course of study to Endow’s session that studies Pope John Paul II’s Letter to Women. The class would be built upon a critique of 4 major areas of focus: the feminine genius, the Virgin Mary, Eve, and complementarity, as examined from the lenses of traditional Roman Catholic teaching, Endow, popular understanding, and 2nd wave feminist thought.
