Artist Exhibition Label: In Mary’s absolute “yes,” or “fiat,” she became a portal to the coming of God’s kingdom on earth. In her son’s death, she was given to us all as “mother.” Like any good mother, she is always, encouraging us to get to know her son. She offers us the mediation of the rosary for this purpose. She wants us to entrust all our cares to her to present to Jesus. Like a good son, he takes his mother’s requests seriously, as we saw in the wedding in Cana. Mary is not divine, but human like us. We all can say “yes” to God as Mary did.
