Abstract

The early Church was dynamically charged by a koinonial spirit. Today, many churches look for ways to engage, empower, and energize their communities, often leading to unsatisfactory attempts to entertain rather than engage. With the help of many of the great Liturgical minds of the twentieth century, this thesis offers an ecclesiology of communio as a means to re-enhance the Liturgical practice as the path to developing a unified approach to diakonia.
