Description

With gradual implementation of its collegiate program by these additional instructors, the courses at St. Norbert College underwent expansion. By 1924, the College was requiring a full four years of coursework and was moving towards recognition as a standard institution.

Throughout all these years of growth at St. Norbert, Pennings was a wisely restraining influence of the college. Being the first President, he prevented the college from mushroom growth on an insecure basis.
