In November 2012, Professor Dr. Robert Boyer donated his personal correspondence with J.R.R. Tolkien to the St. Norbert College Special Collections. The collection includes J.R.R. Tolkien's letters to Dr. Robert Boyer, one handwritten and one typed - no reference to any literary work, references to W.H. Auden. Also donated was a letter from Humphrey Carpenter requesting permission to use Dr. Boyer's letter from Tolkien within a book he had been collaborating with Christopher Tolkien.
