Description
This Senior Capstone Project serves as the culmination of my undergraduate journey, highlighting the skills I have acquired and demonstrating my ability to apply them in real-world professional settings such as merch design. Through this project, I expanded my expertise beyond artistry, embracing design as a complementary skillset that enhances my creative and problem-solving abilities.

Artist Statement
My work explores and expands upon the things in life that I am passionate about. I am driven to create art that reflects my favorite things through a variety of mediums. To do this, I utilize a diverse range of materials and techniques that allow me to express my passion for my subject matter in unique ways. The overarching theme in my work is music, more specifically, the artists that create the music that I listen to. Some might call my work ‘fan art,’ and I embrace this label as it encapsulates my admiration for the artists that inspire me. The other central themes of my work revolve the joy and unifying power of music. I am interested in creating a space where people can come together to celebrate their shared love and appreciation for music and its cultural impact. I want my audience to be able to participate, or live in the art I make. My goal for this series is to create artwork that I am proud of—pieces that capture the essence of the musicians who inspire me. From there, I adapt these works into accessible and affordable merchandise, seamlessly integrating them into everyday life. Whether it’s a T-shirt that makes a bold statement or a postcard sent to a friend, I want my art to be both personal and shareable. The characteristics of my work shift depending on the artist and the mediums I choose, allowing each piece to reflect the unique energy and style of its subject.
