Artist Statement

My cat Ash is everything to me. He has been living with me in the residence halls since the second semester of my sophomore year. Ash is a cat with a large personality. He is playful, cuddly, and extremely talkative. Just like any pet owner, I want to give Ash the best possible life a cat could have and that is why he was the inspiration for this project.

For this exhibition, I created a brand of cat treats called Zoomies. Beyond the treats, I have explored different aspects of marketing and branding of pet food and products. I developed surface designs and patterns to create a consistent brand identity and advertising strategy. The brand, Zoomies, seen here includes packaging for the treats, catnip bottles, and cat toys, as well as the advertisement work to promote the brand.
