Abstract
Children of the Mass: Sacred Liturgy Nourishes Spirituality in the Very Young examines the spiritual capabilities of the youngest children through biological and neurological maturation and found their whole being yearns to know who they are and how to exist. Rich in heritage and ritual, the Catholic Mass captures their imagination. The church can satiate the yearning of the children when the parish offers children essential liturgical formation in keeping with the children’s ontological rhythms. Relational consciousness, storytelling, and space to ruminate are key aspects of this liturgical formation that nourish spirituality in the very young.
