Abstract
For centuries, the use of Religious Art has been instrumental in deepening the divine presence for both the artist and the viewer. Benedictine monasteries have always been filled with beautifully designed bibles, as well as elaborate artistic furnishings such as choir stalls and stained-glass windows.St. Benedict taught that the monastery is where heaven meets the earth and educated his disciples to appreciate beauty. This project seeks to look at how utilizing watercoloring can be an effective tool for cultivating spiritual growth in a college classroom where both young adult college students, and their teacher can find meaning, direction, and conversatio morum (formation for transformation}as part of their everyday life.
