Abstract
Tuesday, at 5PM on October 18th, the Theology and Religious Studies Discipline (along with a number of campus partners) is sponsoring an event in which leading theologians and activists discuss what what it would mean for the Catholic Church to continue to combat the forces of white supremacy and heterosexism. Our truly distinguished panel—including Dr. Bryan Massingale, one of the most prominent black Catholic theologians writing in the United States today, Dr. Miguel Diaz, former Ambassador to the Vatican under President Obama, and Dr. Elsie Miranda—will speak from their perspectives not only as scholars and practitioners, but also as LGBTQ+ Catholics of Color.
