Showcased here are books created by sophomore education students at St. Norbert College who were enrolled in both the Children’s Literature and Instructional Technology courses. During these courses, students were introduced to multimedia authoring software along with elements of children’s literature and were asked to create their own children’s story that were brought to life through the use of animations, audio recordings, and special effects. Many of them took the form of a choose-your-own-adventure story which also introduced the students to a creative writing process where the success of the story depended on the contributions of everyone in the class.
Special thanks to Susan Landt and Mary Alyce Lach for their work in the classroom in creating this project and Krissy Lukens and Vickie Watkins for digitizing this collection
