Description

Sister Tony Ann Palmero, S.S.S.F., and her teammates playing in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League had no idea they were making history. They were just having fun. The league and its players – who were recognized by the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988 – later inspired Penny Marshall’s 1992 hit movie, “A League of Their Own.”
