Description

The “Kapow!” article from St. Norbert College Magazine’s Spring 2015 issue explores a unique interdisciplinary collaboration among three professors who used comic books as a lens to examine societal portrayals of heroism. Through the year-long series “Kapow! Who’s Your Hero?”, students engaged in critical analysis of comic narratives, connecting themes of justice, identity, and cultural representation to broader academic and ethical discussions. The initiative reflects the college’s commitment to innovative pedagogy and the integration of pop culture into meaningful scholarly inquiry.
