Description

NeighborWorks Green Bay is transforming a former armory into the Farmory, a year-round urban farm that combines aquaponics with vertical farming to tackle food insecurity in the city’s inner neighborhoods. With support from St. Norbert College students and faculty, research has shown that the Farmory sits in an area most affected by limited access to healthy foods. The project not only produces perch and fresh greens for local residents and restaurants but also serves as a sustainable model for community revitalization and education.
