Description
Alexa Paleka ’20 made an immediate impact at St. Norbert College with her exceptional writing skills. In her first year, she earned top marks in challenging English courses, published a paper in the national journal Feminist Spaces, and had work accepted at conferences in New York and Ireland. Paleka’s research focused on Lewis Carroll’s Alice books, where she explored feminist theory, turning a class assignment into a publishable paper. She also became a student editor for UReCA, the National Collegiate Honors Council’s online journal, marking the first time a St. Norbert Honors Program student held that role.
