Fall/Winter 2020-21: California Canonesses Publish New Life of Norbert

A new edition of a 12th-century work on the life of Norbert of Xanten appears this month. The keepsake edition of “The Life of Saint Norbert” is published by the community of Norbertine canonesses in Tehachapi, Calif. It offers an English translation of Vita B, one of two contemporary lives of Norbert written by his first followers.

Fall/Winter 2020-21: EWTN to Broadcast Mass From National Shrine on Campus

A temporary statue of the Christ Child in the arms of his earthly father, St. Joseph, has been placed in the shrine while the original statue has been undergoing restoration. As in the original, St. Joesph holds a lily that represents the Blessed Virgin Mary, thus completing the Holy Family.

Fall/Winter 2020-21: Geology Alum Has Front-Row Seat as Perseverance Rover Findings Are Unveiled

Geologist Sara Schreder-Gomes ’19 has a front-row seat as the findings of NASA’s Perseverance rover are unveiled. Schreder-Gomes is finishing a master’s program at the University of West Virginia during which her thesis advisor was selected by NASA as a return-sample selection participating scientist.

Fall/Winter 2021: Milestone for a Diverse Campus

Students of color entering St. Norbert make up more than 15 percent of the incoming class for the first time in college history. In fact, 16.4 percent of first-years now identify as part of this cohort. The statistic is no accidental piece of data: It’s the result of years of commitment toward greater diversity on campus.
