Spring 2014: Coaches Talk Basketball with Notre Dame’s Muffet McGraw

Ann “Muffet” McGraw traded the court at the University of Notre Dame for a night of talking basketball at a coaches’ clinic, May 19 at Schuldes Sports Center. McGraw, arguably the nation’s best-known active women’s basketball coach, was in her element in front of a group of area college and high school coaches.

Spring 2014: Men’s Hockey Brings Home Fourth National Title in Seven Years

There was no doubt who possessed the top NCAA Division III hockey team in the 2013-14 season. Finishing the season with an impressive 11-0 kick, St. Norbert College claimed its fourth national championship in seven years with a gritty 3-1 win over long-time archrival UW-Stevens Point in the title game of the NCAA Division III Frozen Four at Androscoggin Bank Colisée.

For more than two decades, the English as a Second Language (ESL) Institute at St. Norbert College has provided an intensive, academic-based English program for students from as far afield as China, Tanzania, Mexico and the two most well-represented countries in the program, Japan and Saudi Arabia. Thanks to referrals from two friends of the institute eager to compensate for the lack of provision in their home countries, ESL classes have now expanded to include students from Vietnam and Thailand.
